As missionaries spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ in Central America, one of our main functions is to build new churches. In addition, we offer support to existing churches.

To better understand our Christian philosophy, please read WELCOME TO OUR CHURCH.

We are proud to say that, through the power of God, we have built three new cement block church buildings. The first of these is located in Santa Rosa village along the Southern Highway in Belize. This church is the most prominent building in the village and is pastored by Belize native and faithful servant of the Lord, Ambrosio Shal. The church membership continues to grow and the church is open for service or prayer daily.

The second cement block church built by Ministries of the Son of God is in the village of Siene Bight on the coast of Belize. It is built on beautiful ocean-front property that was donated to the ministry by native man, Ellis Guzman. Reverend Palmer pastors the Siene Bight Church. We have seen God work miracles to allow for this much needed church to be built in this village where a large portion of the population follows the voodoo traditions of their ancestors. The Seine Bight Church building recently received some much needed maintainence including a fresh coat of paint. We continure to see progress at this church where we slowly experience higher and higher attendance at our services.

Ministries of the Son of God also acquired land several years ago in the Village of Santa Cruz, which is heavily populated by Spanish migrant workers. Santa Cruz is a very large village , like Santa Rosa, is also on the Southern Highway. The church property is located to the front of the village and is very accessible. For about 3 years, we had a thatch roof, dirt floor church building in Santa Cruz. In 2009, we were able to build a concrete church building in Santa Cruz. We have such a sweet Mayan Pastor there named Marcos Shal. It is really amazing that a Mayan Pastor could lead a Spanish church, but the Spanish village just loves him and his wife, Anna. Marcos only learned to speak Spanish after the thatch roof church was built in 2006. He says that it is a gift from The Lord that he was able to learn Spanish well enough to speak to the Spanish speaking adults in his congregation. Pastor Marcos is a very humble servant of The Lord and is very dedicated. He walks, or rides his bike, approximately 5 miles one way to reach the church he pastors. He is always there to have the church open.

In addition to the three cement block church buildings that Ministries of the Son of God has been blessed to build, we have four other churches in Belize. Three of these additional churches are located near the Belize/Guatemala border in the villages of Otoxah, Dolores, and Cirque Sarco. The Otoxah and Dolores churches both have thatch roof board buildings with poured concrete floors. The Cirque Sarco church has only a thatched roof, with no walls and a dirt floor.

The fourth of these additional churches is located in Belmopan. This new church family meets in Pastor Amelio Cal’s thatch roof home. We are in the process of aiding Pastor Cal to build a separateInterior of Dolores Church thatch roof structure with board walls and a poured concrete floor to serve as his church building. We prayerfully hope to be able to build concrete block buildings for each of these four Pastors in the near future.

This small start is truly just the beginning of what we hope to accomplish. Reverend Palmer feels in his heart that Ministries of the Son of God will build many more new churches. Please help us as we continue this mission in the name of Jesus. Your donation will make a huge impact on our efforts to expand our ministry and spread the word of God throughout southern Belize and beyond.
